Olaf Brugman is an executive director and Head of Sustainable Markets, , and responsible for green and social capital market finance. He also represents Rabobank in the executive committee of the Green Bond Principles, one of the leading standards for sustainable capital market finance. Previously, he was responsible for Rabobank’s corporate sustainability policies, stakeholder dialogue and sustainability management reporting, and held roles focused on organisational consultancy and system solutions for knowledge management. As the former President of the Round Table for Responsible Soy, he initiated strategies for sustainable development in agricultural value chains using the Malik Syntegration method, based on system-cybernetic principles. Prior to joining Rabobank in 2001, Olaf was a senior consultant in the area of knowledge management learning at PricewaterhouseCoopers Management Consultants. He used to work in academic roles for over ten years, holding various research and teaching positions in the fields of organisational sociology, human resource development, organisation design, technology management at the Radboud University School of Management, the Royal Dutch Defence Academy and Twente University of Technology.He holds a doctorate in Business Studies from the Radboud University School of Management, and an MA in Public Administration from Twente University, Faculty of Public Administration.He has studied and applied systems thinking and managerial cybernetics since 1985, and regularly publishes on business and finance topics from a systems perspective. Affilliations:- Member of the Executive Committee of the Green Bond Principles and co-chair of its working group "Defining Green”- Member of the Advisory Council of the Radboud Management Academy of the School of Management, Radboud University Nijmegen.- Executive Board member and former President of the Round Table for Responsible Soy (RTRS)- Treasurer of the UN Global Compact Netherlands Network. Olaf is married, and lives and works in the Netherlands.
