Christoph Paul Norbert came from the Thun-Hohenstein-Sardagna line and graduated from the Vienna Academic High School in 1978 and promoted Dr. iur. (Rechtswissenschaftschaft) and 1983 as Dr. phil. (Political Science and Art History) at the University of Vienna.
Between 1984 and 1993, he was responsible for the diplomatic service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abidjan , Geneva and Bonn. From 1993 he was "responsible for the legal share of Austrian EU membership" [2] and subsequently published the standard publication European law. From 1999 to 2007 he headed the Austrian Cultural Forum in New York , then worked as an art manager in Vienna. Since September 1, 2011, he has been running the Museum für angewandte Kunst (MAK) in Vienna for five years.
